He also chats to Stephen Murray about Inspireland, a slam poetry workshop initiative working with teenagers up an down the country. He’ll be taking a team of 4 young poets to represent Ireland in an international poetry competition in Atlanta, Georgia later this year.
His guest in studio this week is Cecil Allen, a Northsider whose debut novel, The Actor, chronicles the life and times of actor Jim Brevin, in the lively and often inhospitable Dublin of early 20th century Dublin.
