The Lady on the Rock is a popular white statue that is displayed in the windows of many northside households. Linda Keegan, art teacher at St. Michael’s Holy Faith School in Finglas and several of her Fifth Year students talk to Noel McGuinness about their exhibition to be launched at axis: Ballymun on 11th March entitled The Lady on the Rock – Rocking a New Look. After discovering the history behind these popular statues, they explain how they have transformed them from their original white plaster into colourful pieces of art.
