Mark Finnegan is joined by Connor Cullen from Alcohol Action Ireland.

Alcohol Action Ireland welcomed the proposed Public Health (Alcohol) Bill as signed off by the Cabinet on Feb 3rd.

This landmark announcement signals the Government’s intent to regulate alcohol as a public health matter for the first time, and in doing so will address the serious issue of alcohol harm which has blighted the lives of so many people. Legislation to reduce alcohol harm enables the State to protect the young and the vulnerable.
