Dermot Higgins, Postmaster in Ballymun and the Dublin spokesperson for the Irish Postmasters’ Union talks to Noel McGuinness about the important social role played by the Post Offices.  He also says that a Post Office Business Development Group was set up by the Government last month to explore how more business can be delivered through Post Offices in order to prevent large numbers of Offices from closing.
