Ice Swim at Lough Dan

Fergal Somerville talks to Noel McGuinness about the upcoming International Ice Mile Swim. This will take place at Lough Dan, Co. Wicklow on 14th February. Fergal talks about this mile-long swim that must take place in water at 5 degrees or below. He also talks about the trials that DCU will be undertaking at the swim on the effects of the cold water on the body. This will be the biggest ice mile swim in the world with seventeen people currently registered to take part.

Fergal also talks about the long distance swims he has undertaken to date and his ambitions for the future.
