Arts and Disability Radio showcases the work of artists and companies with disabilities and promotes upcoming accessible arts events, as well as featuring music by Irish and international singer songwriters with disabilities. On this programme presenter Pádraig Naughton talks to Lisa Farrelly Education & Outreach Coordinator at the Abbey Theatre about the national theatre’s services for patrons with disabilities and in particular their audio described performances for blind and visually impaired audiences. Pádraig is joined in studio by Bríd Ní Ghruagáin and Mo Portsmouth, both have audio described theatre performances and visual arts for Arts & Disability Ireland around the country since 2009. There are also details on how to keep abreast of upcoming accessible performances and exhibitions. Interviews are interspersed with an eclectic mix of music which this week includes; Sive, Loudon Wainwright III, Natalie Merchant & Blind Boys of Alabama, Ásgeir and Neil Young.
