Cheryl Gunning – Winner Vodafone Ireland Foundation World of Difference Award

Cheryl Gunning talks to Mark Finnegan about winning the Vodafone Ireland Foundations World of Difference Award. 

The Vodafone Ireland Foundation (VIF) was established in 2003 to help support Irish charities to respond to the needs in Irish society. It was the first Foundation of its kind in Ireland. It is among 27 Vodafone Foundations around the world and is part of Vodafone’s commitment to be a responsible global citizen and member of society. To date the Vodafone Ireland Foundation has committed over €8m in funding to the sector.
Cheryl who is from Portmarnock, Co Dublin will work with DEBRA Ireland; a charity who works to support families living with the debilitating skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Cheryl’s goal is to give young EB sufferers a voice and to create fundraising channels through social media to help parents and families of young sufferers.Cheryl will spend 12 months dedicating herself full time to supporting her charity in their existing work or helping to implement new campaigns.
