“Unravel” – bring in your old socks!

Carina McGrail, project coordinator for “Unravel”, talks to Noel McGuinness on Northside Today about a new series of events that will be held in Temple Bar.  The first of these, “Unravel”, is in Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar, on 25th and 26th October and Carina says this is an event that celebrates all things felt and yarn.  Cow’s Lane is traditionally an area where craft and design takes place.  This free event has something for all the family, including a “felting wall” and people bring in old knitted items that can be used in this wall.  There will be a knitting stall where people of all ages can receive information and advice on knitting.  For children there will be story-telling.  In addition children can bring in old socks and be shown how to turn them into little felted creatures.  Other events in the “New in the Old City” series can be seen on www.templebar.ie
