BA in Personal Development

Colm Kilgallon and Georgina Fedigan talk to Noel McGuinness about the BA in Personal Development at All Hallows College (the “ALBA” programme). Colm explains that the course is continuing for the existing students even though the college has had to close. This part time course is designed for adult learners and many of the students are from a non-academic background.

Georgina Fedigan will graduate from the course this year. She says that she was looking for change and found that the ALBA programme certainly provided this. She learned academic skills and a vast amount of knowledge and feels the course has changed her life. She can’t praise the course enough and says that looking back on her journey through it, she now has completely different goals to those she started with – a whole new path has opened up.

The ALBA course is unique to All Hallows College but Colm hopes that some way will be found for it to continue. For the moment he suggests that people talk to their public representatives to try to ensure that the programme lives on.
