Bioblitz Events at Howth

Deborah Tiernan of Fingal County Council talks to Noel McGuinness on Northside Today about the huge range of events that will take place in Howth for Bioblitz 2014. She talks about Bioblitz and the need for biodiversity and says the events in Howth will appeal to both young and old. Starting at 5pm on Friday 23rd May there will be a walk and talk about the butterflies of Howth and events continue through Saturday 24th May. These include walks and talks on the flora and fauna of Howth including moths, bats, birds, wildflowers, insects and even goats. There will also be marine focussed events including a boat trip around the bay with the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.
