<\/a><\/p>\nHailing from Dublin,\u00a0Stano<\/a> is a self-taught musician and painter. He spent the late 1970’s and early 80’s immersed in the Dublin punk scene, and teamed up with legendary Dublin combo The Threat, and, with the group, released\u00a0Lullaby in C<\/i>\/High Cost of Living<\/i>. When the band broke up, Stano continued to experiment with sound, exploring the fusion of music and everyday sounds with original poetry, and visual images. He is regarded as one of the foremost innovators of experimental electronic music, here in Ireland, and beyond. He has released several critically acclaimed albums, and his debut album \u2018Content to Write in I Dine Weathercraft\u2019 is considered by many to be a landmark recording in Irish music, which anticipated much of the postmodernist musical trends of the 1990s.<\/p>\n On Friday 18th October, Temple Bar Cultural Trust will present \u2018UNSPOKEN\u2019 a forty minute performance by Stano, it will be\u00a0his first live show in over 23 years. It coincides with the release of his new album, Unknown Distance, his third release in three years, which includes 2010\u2019s Blind Sound, and \u2018Memory Distorts a Lie\u2019 in 2011. We drive through the night time city and head out to the Dublin mountains, the countryside is presented in abstract images as we speed by the heather and bog cotton in the early morning light. Our abstract journey through the mountains brings us crashing back to the city presented as a wild landscape as the lights and laser beams envelope the audience.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/a><\/div>\n
