March 2012 was when the Irish media and public really\u00a0discovered\u00a0hockey when both the Irish men’s and women’s teams got to within one win of qualifying for the 2012 London Olympic Games.\u00a012 months on from those agonising near misses Near FM’s Niamh Griffin went along to Clontarf Hockey Club to see if all that attention had helped the profile of the game of hockey in Ireland.<\/p>\n
