Brendan Swan was a young child 30 years ago, living in Ceannt Tower, where his parents were part of the Tenants’ Association and whose family were neighbours and close friends of ballymun Poet and Community Activist Pat Tierney.<\/p>\n

In 1991, Pat organised the book launch of Spring Song, a collection of poetry from the children from the Ceannt Tower Rhymers Club.<\/p>\n

Brendan speaks to NearFM’s John Connell about Pat and how his example and ideas nurtured poetry in Ballymun and inspired young children. <\/p>\n
