The Wildlife Protection Act of 2019, backed by the Centre for Biological Diversity and our friends at Social Compassion in Legislation, was signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom last week. It prohibits trapping native animals \u2014 including bobcats, gray foxes, coyotes, beavers, badgers and mink \u2014 plus selling their pelts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2017, at least 43,000 cows have been transported on<\/span><b>\u00a0crowded Lorries from Ireland to Turkey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in temperatures of up to 41.5 degrees, on a journey that takes nearly two weeks. Exhaustion, dehydration, and death are common during these trips.
