\nSpot the Stranger \u2013 15th \u2013 28th April
\nIf you are looking for ways to keep your children entertained during the Easter break
\nthen this may be just the thing for you and your family.
\nChildren in Hospital Ireland have launched this fun competition \u201cSpot the Stranger\u201d
\nwhich will run from 15th -28th April and is based in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.\u00a0 Each
\nentry costs \u20ac5.00 with all proceeds directly supporting the work of Children in
\nHospital Ireland.
\nSo what is it all about?
\n\u201cSpot the Stranger\u201d is a type of treasure hunt.\u00a0 \u00a0Each entrant receives a competition
\nanswer sheet with the participating shops listed.\u00a0 Their objective is to look into each
\nof the participating shop windows to see if they can \u201cSpot the Stranger\u201d (e.g. a shoe
\nin a Jewellery shop window or banana in a bookshop window) and fill in their answer
\nfor each shop listed on the entry form.\u00a0 We are advising entrants that entry forms can
\nbe returned with \u20ac5.00 entry fee to Eason Dun Laoghaire, or they can download the
\nform from our website and pay online.
\nThe Dun Laoghaire retailers have been so supportive in getting on board with this
\ncompetition, Colin Hand from Eason Dun Laoghaire said \u201ckids love getting out and
\nabout, discovering new things, exploring, and using their powers of deduction and it\u2019s
\ngreat that they can take part, have fun while raising funds for children who might not
\nbe so fortunate.\u201d
\nAnna Gunning CEO of Children in Hospital Ireland says \u201cthis Easter, during the
\nholidays, we are aiming to raise funds through this fun competition for children and
\ntheir families to help make hospital a happier place for children.\u00a0 Fundraising helps
\nus to continue and grow our volunteer play services in 13 hospitals nationwide \u2013 with
\nthe objective of ensuring that every child in hospital has access to play and re-
\ncreation.\u201d
\nChild centred activities are at the core of what we do \u2013 and we think this \u201cSpot the
\nStranger\u201d fundraiser will be a very welcome activity for families during the Easter
\nBreak \u2013 while also creating a sense of community and support in the participating
\nshops.<\/p>\n
