{"id":26306,"date":"2018-04-25T09:40:28","date_gmt":"2018-04-25T08:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/listenagain.org\/?p=26306"},"modified":"2018-04-25T09:40:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-25T08:40:55","slug":"26306","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/listenagain.org\/?p=26306","title":{"rendered":"Enviro &#8211; 23rd April 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/widget\/iframe\/?hide_cover=1&amp;feed=%2Fnearfm%2Fenviro-23rd-april-2018%2F\" width=\"100%\" height=\"120\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On this edition of Enviro:<\/p>\n<p>John and the panel speak to\u00a0Forest Friends interns Vincent Tchavouchan, Mathilde Gendron and Victoire Courtois detailed their research and outlined casualties, human costs environmental effects and economic costs of various \u00a0\u00a020<sup>th<\/sup> and 21<sup>st<\/sup> century wars.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vincent discussed the casualties\u2019 human costs environmental effects and financial costs of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars<\/li>\n<li>Mathilde outlined the use and effects of chemical weapons in wars including the Vietnam War<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mathilde discussed with Victoire specific examples of the environmental and other effects of wars, using a question and answer series, where Mathilde asked questions in English and French and translated back into English for the listeners which added to the quality of the discourse.<\/p>\n<p>John played songs from the CD \u2018A Soldier\u2019s sad story: Vietnam through the eyes of Black America 1966-73\u2019 this CD has 24 anti-war songs.
