{"id":15244,"date":"2015-03-31T16:31:26","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T16:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/listenagain.org\/?p=15244"},"modified":"2015-03-31T16:31:26","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T16:31:26","slug":"fergus-mc-donnell-and-martina-hand-from-the-railway-preservation-society-of-ireland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/listenagain.org\/?p=15244","title":{"rendered":"Fergus Mc Donnell and Martina Hand from The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland:"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fergus Mc Donnell and Martina Hand from The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Mark Finnegan welcomes Fergus Mc Donnell and Martina Hand from The Railway Preservaton Society of Ireland(RPSI) to the Near FM studio.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The RPSI was <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">formed in 1964<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> (we celebrated our <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">50th Anniversary<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> in 2014) to preserve in working order<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">steam locomotives<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">other rolling stock<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> built for the <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Irish railway system<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, from 1850 to the present day.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The RPSI maintains a <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">museum at Whitehead<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> and operates <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">steam-hauled excursions<\/span> over the present day Irish railway network for families and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Society is a <span style=\"color: #000000;\">not-for-profit charity<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> managed by <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">volunteers<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.
