They released two glorious albums, Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts and Cast of Thousand before splitting\u00a0in 1979. He formed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3LkhPuBWJQQ\">TV Smith&#8217;s Explorers<\/a> and Cheap after but neither gained the public attention The Adverts did. He has been pursuing a critically acclaimed solo career since the 1990s.
